Try out the Typeface - click New Krytan next to English in the header, or enter text in the box below!
Use the typeface freely, within the usage licensing that AreaNet dictate for their assets - as the base set of glyphs in this typeface are taken from the game. For any content that I have added (additional glyphs for non-English or punctuation characters), treat these under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
Attribution required if you're doing your own extension of this typeface, in any other creative works a credit is always nice, but not required. :)
The Typeface is available in the standard TTF, OTF, EOT, WOFF, WOFF2 and SVG formats. This allows you to not only use the Typeface on your computer for day-to-day usage, but also implemented as a web-font (as demonstrated here on this page).
Already installed a Version and there is a newer one available? Just drop the existing font over the old to upgrade. For Operating Systems that have font viewers (like Windows), you may be asked to confirm you are replacing the existing installed font.
Please note that when used as a web-font, missing characters will be substituted for the default browser font (usually Times New Roman). When installed on your PC, your PC may default missing characters to a broken glyph (often a box shape).
The following lists the character map for each version. Each additional version adds to the original.

The Typeface is based off of the "New Krytan" language in the Guild Wars 2 video game. In the video game itself, there are only known characters for the English alphabet - letters A through Z and numbers 0 - 9. Some creative interpretation is being used to extend the typeface to cover additional letters for other languages, along with additional punctuation not found in the game.
To install the font on Windows, download and extract the NewKrytan zip file, locate the "NewKrytan.ttf" file, right-click the file and choose "Install". This will copy the Typeface to your Windows fonts directory (usually located at "C:\Windows\fonts"). To Uninstall the Typeface, open the fonts directory in Windows Explorer, find the "New Krytan" file in the directory and delete it.
Open Finder and navigate to /Users/Your username/Library/Fonts - Once this directory is open, copy the OTF font from the download to this directory. To Uninstall, remove the "NewKrytan.otf" file from the same directory.
Installation on Linux varies depending on the Distribution in use. You will need to check your Distro's help. Using a GUI, you may be able to extract the download and open the TTF font in a font viewer application, which may provide the option to install the Typeface. Please check your Distribution's documentation for more information.
